Charging
system problems are a common complaint among Air-Head
owners. Starter motors can be a problem too, since original Bosch
starters are no longer available and the replacement Valeo model
from BMW seems to have some reliability issues. Pictured here are just
a few of our after-market Electrical System products that
can help you keep running while saving you money too. Each
one is a proven performer that will enhance your machine's reliability.
Get peace of mind and a great value!

Exhaust Nut Wrenches |

Recently
we saw one of our Exhaust Nut Wrenches sell on eBay for about 50 bucks—and
it was USED! Though we like the idea of the free market, we thought you
might like to save a few bucks by buying a new Exhaust Nut Wrench directly
from us at HALF the amount paid by some sucker on eBay.
Our unique Exhaust Nut Wrench for air-heads is made of high grade bronze
alloy. It's German made, strong enough to loosen the most stubborn exhaust
nuts, and cleverly designed to work with previously damaged fins. We've
even added a pilot hole at the top of the handle so that if you choose
to hang the wrench you have a place to start drilling. Yeah, we think
of everything!
There
is nothing like having the right tool for the job. This is it, and it's
only $26.95. Use it on R68, R69, R69S, and all air-cooled twins from
1970 on...
* Note that in the case of improperly
installed exhaust nuts which have become seized or, in effect, welded
on, the best way to remove them is by cutting. Forcing a seized nut will
only cause more harm and cost more money to repair.
Famous
Hepco and Becker Classic Panniers These the bags that
were OEM on models in the late 70s and beyond. (Before that, nearly identical
bags were manufactured by Krauser as aftermarket accessories.) These German-made
bags are now wide enough to accept a full face helmet, but barely different in appearance. They feature improved rear
latches which will work with either your original bag
mount brackets or new Hepco & Becker mounts, available separately.
The bags have a circular recess molded into each lid that, coincidentally,
is just the right size for standard self-adhesive BMW logo badges,
which we include at no additional charge!
These bags will fit all Boxer twins from 1970 to 1984 (though not ideal
for GS and ST models), and many later air-heads ('85 and on) if equipped
with the proper mounting brackets.(see below.)

Made
by the same people that brought back the classic saddlebags, this mounting
system is ideal for your Hepco & Becker panniers, as well as the earlier
bags from either Krauser or BMW. The high quality chrome finish will shine
on your classic bike for years to come.
Got too much stuff? How about adding the matching Hepco & Becker
Luggage Rack? This sensibly sized rack comes in chrome and bolts onto
any of the H & P bag mount sets.
Go all the way. Top it all off with the H & P 30 liter Top Case!
It's the perfect complement to the versatility and style of the classic
bags. More than big enough to swallow a full face helmet, this top case
is specifically designed to attach to the above luggage rack with a lockable
quick-release latch.
Watch your weight! Preserve the safety
and handling of your bike by not overloading the back! This applies to
all motorcycles, but could be particularly important with older bikes.
Only light-weight items should be carried on rear racks and in top cases.
*Oversize charge of $8.00 for this
item.
Long
Front Fenders (standard '70-'76 style, and wider Police version), Side
Covers -or battery covers for most /6 and /7 models, and /5 Tool Tray.
These more affordable replicas are made in the US, and except for the
tool tray which was plastic, use the same material as the originals. This
fiber-glass, however, is hand-laid which makes it stronger and easier
to repair. All items are primed and ready for paint. Note: mounting holes
on repro fenders are not pre-drilled. This is done intentionally because
typical holes would not necessarily be used in all applications, therefore
no filling or patching is required. Mounting hole locations are indicated,
so drilling is easy.

Replace
your worn-out, scraped-up and ugly valve covers with our high-quality,
low-cost replicas . Our superbly cast, German made valve covers are indisguishable
from the originals, and priced significantly less. These are the graceful
rounded pieces typical of /5 and /6 models, but if you've got a 1977 or
newer model with "square" looking covers, go retro! These valve
covers are a direct replacement for ALL air-heads, so go ahead and add
some style.

The
OEM sidestands on early BMWs were not always confidence inspiring. They
were prone to retracting unexpectedly, bending over time, or just breaking
all together and leaving your bike resting on its valve cover. The Brown's
Sidestand, a staple accessory for many years, is strong, sturdy, and easier
to use. Remove one of life's uncertainties by using a side stand that
actually works! Easy to install!

Years of harsh sunlight and hard riding have dulled or chipped your beautiful
BMW roundels. Well, replace them with new ones from Bob's. We stock both
styles of enamel cloisonne emblems: the original /5 screw-on style,
and the later type, used originally on the R90S, which is held on by adhesive
(not included). Even if you don't have an R90S, these emblems are a great
looking touch-of-class for any model that uses the common 70mm (2.75 in.)
emblems.

The
artwork from our most popular T-shirt design has now been applied
to a ceramic 12 ounce mug. This distinctive mug was produced in
limited quantities to commemorate the official dedication of The
Vintage Museum at Bob’s BMW. The “Vintage Scene,”
an intriguing art deco style commercial illustration from 1937,
shows a couple of intrepid motorcyclists mingling with a party of
golfers in what may have been an early effort to suggest that riding
a BMW was as much a sport of the privileged elite as golf. It seems
that BMW publicists to this day are still hoping our sport will
catch on with the country club set. It’s our hope, however,
that as you mull over the enduring class struggle of motorcyclists,
you’ll feel privileged enough just sipping your favorite beverage
from this beautiful mug!

| BMW Vintage Tin Sign
|
Spruce up your home decor with some classy
wall art. This BMW vintage-look tin sign is approximately
12 x 15.75 inches and depicts a 750cc R63 (ca. 1928) in
a tropical design motif typical of India during the
colonial period. The attractive artwork is rendered in a durable
baked-on enamel finish.
