Fortunately at Bob's we come across special Vintage and Classic bikes that we get to offer to new care takes or owners. For the purposes of this web page we are calling 1970 - 1995 bikes Classic and pre-1969 bikes Vintage. These bikes are offered in a varied state from full restorations to completely original and everything in between. Due to the nature and age of these bikes they are not offered with a warranty. We at Bob's go though the bikes reviewing them for mechanical and cosmetic condition. Often customers want full detailed histories of bikes and is not always possible but we fully disclose everything we know. What you see on this web page is what we have in inventory. There is a field to click on for special requests and we do keep an eye out for bikes all the time. If you are contacting us from out of State we can prepare a bike for shipping but you must arrange the shipping which can range from $150 for a local delivery to $600-900 for a cross country delivery. On occasion you may see the price listed as INQUIRE, this generally indicates we are still either reviewing or working on the bike and the final price has not been set. When inquiring about a bike please let us know your needs and we can discuss them in greater detail when we call you back. Please email us HERE or call us at 1.888.BMW.BOBS.
Remember when the market adjusted on a bike or car you really wanted and you didn't pull the trigger? I know you do because I remember every time, every bike, and every car I missed. Do not miss these bikes. R69Ss were $20K bikes just a few years ago and these are wonderful examples. With some other recent vintage and classic acquisitions we have been able to do some cost averaging of our vintage bikes and offer a few of them at significantly adjusted prices.
Act fast and do not let one of these get away!!
1989 BMW K100RS Special Edition • 10,185 miles stock number 044843 $6,995
A nice opportunity to acquire a bike you just don't see much anymore and this one is the desireable Limited Edition '89 model that even comes with period literature. To quote BWW, "BMW intorduces the K100RS "Special" - the first motorcycle with the revolutionary new electronically controlled anti-lock braking system (ABS)", "Perhaps the most significant advance in motorcycle safety since the helmet." This bike is very clean with the shortest list of minor imperfections including a few small stone chips on the front of the bellypan, the black trim panels between the fairing and tank/motor were shortened here to improved cooling (a typical period modification), is missing the small panel between the forks under the fairing (again, improved cooling), and an age appropriate nic or two here or there but nothing else of note. This really is a stunning bike and came close to being in the museum as it is noticeably lacking in K bikes. This bike has service history here having received a full bi-annual service in March of '09 at 9,520 miles and we just resealed the waterpump and crank cover, installed a new wind deflector, and repainted the left mirror. This bike does come with the optional paint to match side cases and and a Sargent seat. It has passed MD State Inspection. For '89 the tried and true fuel-injected 987cc liquid-cooled inline-4 also received BMWs all new 4 valve head and made 82hp and 64ftlbs. It of course features shaft drive, disc brakes all around, a 5 speed 'box, and 5.8 gallon tank all weighing in at 596lbs wet with a 31.9" seat height. You will notice this is listed on both the Vintage & Classic page and Pre-Owned page, it is over 10 years old so does not qualify for an extended vehicle service contract it is ready for the road and daily riding.

1991 BMW K1
PROJECT BIKE Classic Black Metallic • 10,157 miles stock number 365526 $5,795
A nice one owner bike that hasn't been ridden much and needs a good detailing and service. The K1 was produced by BMW from 1989 to 1993 resulting in only 6,918* units produced worldwide. In 1989 the new K1 featured ABS brakes and a 4 valve cylinder head and new fuel injection to extract all the potential power form the water-cooled inline 4. We just gave this bike a full detail, renewed the front master cylinder, installed a new 4-way hazard, new battery, and it passed Maryland State Inspection. Why is it a project bike? More>>

In the spirit of the famed ISDT bikes the GS featured a 21" front wheel and high mounted fender and in 1981 Hubert Auriol won the grueling Paris-Dakar Rally on a modified R80GS - a legend was born. The introduction of the R100GS brought, the now renowned 980cc Boxer twin with 5 speed 'box and shaft drive with tubeless cross spoke wheels, the paralever rear suspension replaced the mono-lever and the engine made about 60hp over the 50hp of the R80. 1964 BMW R69S Black • 600 miles* stock number 658818 INQUIRE *Only 11,317 R69S's were produced between 1960-1969.
Less than 600 miles since a Bob's BMW "money is no object" restoration done with a lot of NOS parts. This might be the nicest restored R69S in the US. It was traded in by a very good and regular customer on a new and very rare R1200S HP2 Sport. There is also a glass obelisk available that has the VIN and model designation that was used to present the bike when BMW Mobile Tradition borrowed it for display. This is a special bike in the large tank, solo seat, low bar configuration. Details to follow.
Dear Ashton,
I thought I'd take a minute and thank you and everyone involved for handling the transaction so efficiently and professionally. Over the course of my life I've dealt with many people in the motorcycle sales/service industry, and Bob's BMW is definitely above them all.
I hated to sell that bike, but I know you'll find it a good home. Best for a successful riding season.
Yours truly,
Steve Rouzer

1962 BMW R69S Rennsport/Cafe stock number 811333 INQUIRE
A Perry Bushong Rennsport replika based on a 1962 R69S evocative of the 1954 race bike built very limited numbers for racing. In their day they were 500cc motors with an Earles fork front end. The earlier bikes were very successful and were supercharged. Less competitive when the superchargers were banned the boxers, with their low end torque, turned out to be ideal for sidecar racing. BMW won almost all of the first ten places in the world championships in the sidecar class from 1959 to 1972. This bike is 1 of 1 built in a series of 11 replikas built, no two were identical. This replika is full of goodies, was owned by two very good Bob's customer's and recently acquired by Bob. Bob has not yet decided if it is for sale but inquiries and offers will be considered. The bike can be seen by appointment.
Incredible One-of-a-Kind BMW-EML Sidecar Rig Silver • 25,849 miles stock number 040638 INQUIRE
Built between 1987 and 1990 by the amazingly talented Al Vangura from Pittsburgh, this is truly a custom engineered and exciting three-wheeler. It still competes with the most exotic and expensive rigs from EML and Armec available today; if not out performing them in some ways.
More than 4000 hours of thought, engineering, prototyping, fabrication and testing went into this outfit over the four year period it took to bring this dream to the street.
This was Bob’s personal/family rig for 15 years. His son practically grew up in it! More>>

This is a clean one-family bike originally sold at Bob's BMW on 3/6/1993 and is one of the last of the R259 Boxer airheads. This bike was produced in June of 1992 and is presented in Classic Black (#656). These were really unusual bikes in their day in that they featured a 980cc air-cooled twin (with oil cooler), had retro "rounded" valve covers, Showa suspension and a set of 4 piston Brembo calipers clamping twin 285mm floating discs up front. You also got twin 32mm Bings, 5 speed transmission, shaft drive with paralever, and basically the most advanced boxer BMW in it's 69 year history. More>>

On Saturday November 14th starting at 7pm this bike will be auctioned with the proceeds going to the Ride for Kids and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. We estimate the market value of this bike and sidecar together to be $22,500 in today's market. Is this all we have to offer? OF COURSE
NOT! Bob's has always been known for keeping one of the largest inventories
of new and used BMW's on hand 12 months a year. Because we sell
so many bikes (1 customer at a time) we simply choose not to
show you a photo (or line listing) of every bike available and
clog up the site. But rest assured we have the new or used bike
(and plenty of non BMW's) you desire available, and if we don't
have it right now it's probably on a truck or in a ship heading
here so it will be ready for you very soon.
Please Note: The mileage listed on each motorcycle is the mileage at time of intake. Bob's offers a demo ride program on almost all used bikes in inventory so mileage will vary at time of sale. Sometime the mileage can be 100's of miles different and while we endeavor to list accurate mileage it is a guide for the approximate mileage on the bike. Actual mileage will be listed at the time of sale.
